A positive birth experience comes in many different forms from induction, drug free birth, medicated, cesarean, natural birth and so on. Birth by it’s very nature is unpredictable, but what you can control is your breath, your focus, your train of though. The GentleBirth programme helps expectant mom’s and their birth partner to prepare for a positive, calm and confident birth, whatever path their birthing experience takes them on. A positive birth is defined by mom in a non judgmental way. GentleBirth trains the brain through using evidence based research and the latest information on brain science. The programme is a blend of Mindfulness, Hypnosis, CBT, Positive Affirmations and Breathing Techniques.

The Workshops

The GentleBirth workshop will provide you and your birth partner with the tools, support and confidence to prepare for a positive birthing experience, one that is defined by mom. During the weekend workshop you will delve into the neuroscience behind your mental preparation, including sport psychology techniques, learn different comfort measures to use during labour, equip your birth partner with support techniques and help you both navigate your options and the Irish Maternity System to get the best care for you and your baby. GentleBirth is based on the latest evidence based research and care.

GentleBirth Group workshops are held monthly in Ballydesmond or Killarney, private 1 to 1 sessions can be catered for on request. GentleBirth meet up’s are also held regularly in Killarney.
